An American got quite a surprise last Monday when he spotted a lynx conveniently installed in his dog basket.
When he saw the hairball, Nikola Zovko first thought that one of his cats had taken his Chihuahua’s place.
“I said, ‘Fuzzerhead, what are you doing in Squeaker’s bed?’ told the Arizona-based The Guardian.
Thank you to concerned citizens and the Veterinary Specialty Center Tucson from the family of #Squeaker, who showed up injured on Tue. after a bobcat entered their home through a dog door. When he realized it was indeed a lynx, he immediately contacted the Arizona Wildlife Agency. Officials advised him to stay away from the animal and open all the windows and doors of his home. When they arrived, the big cat had fled.
While inspecting his home, Nikola Zovko found his frightened cat hiding behind the sofa while his dog was nowhere to be found. It wasn’t until the next day that Squeakers was finally found in very poor condition and badly injured in one leg.
The brave 10-year-old has had multiple stitches and is doing better, his owner told The Guardian.
