He drives a stolen truck and asks the police for help

Police in Nipigon, near Thunder Bay, Ontario, arrested the driver of a stolen truck who called them for help because he couldn’t afford his gas.

Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) said they received a call for help from a man at a gas station in Nipigon around 4:30 p.m. Thursday afternoon.

On site, they found the driver of a truck in distress because he could not use his blocked fuel card.

After doing some checks, officers determined that the vehicle, a 2019 Peterbilt, had been reported stolen in Mississauga, Ontario that same day.

The driver, a 48-year-old man from Winnipeg, Manitoba, was charged with possession of property acquired through felonies valued at over $5,000. He was released with a promise to appear.
