“He even hit me : Felipe Prior responds to three other rape cases

This Tuesday’s program “No Filter” (11) is about the rape allegations against the former BBB Felipe Prior. He was sentenced to six years in prison on Saturday (8) in the first instance for a rape committed in 2014 in a semiopen regime convicted the defense claims he is innocent. But that’s not the only allegation against him. Prior responds to three other complaints of sexual violence.

universe had access to the court verdict and excerpts from the statements of the other victims. One of them, who says she was raped in 2018, says she began having sexual contact with Prior, who soon became aggressive. “It hit me,” he says. “He started holding me and hurting me. I started crying and asked him to stop. He kept hitting me,” says the young woman, noting that he became aggressive after her first refusal. The complaint was filed in an inland city of São Paulo and is at the stage of the police investigation.

Two other rape reports were also registered in the interior of São Paulo. City names are not published to protect the victims. In one of the cases, the charges were already accepted by the judge and Prior became the accused. Along with the cases, the prison sentence can add up to 24 years, plus the minimum penalties and a penalty for recidivism.

In the three testimonies, the victims report acts of violence and aggressiveness on the part of Prior.

One of the former BBB’s lawyers, Rafael Tiepo Pugliese Ribeiro, was contacted by universe by telephone in your office and by email. The report left a contact number, but so far Ribeiro has not responded to the defense’s questions about the other cases, which Prior is responding to. Attorney Gabriela Ianni was also contacted by phone at her office and by email to discuss the three allegations related to Prior. So far there has been no reaction. If there is a placement, this text will be updated.

Regarding the sentencing, the legal team issued a note in which they claimed Prior was innocent and said he would appeal the decision. Read below:

In the trial that led to the conviction, Prior’s defense claimed that the victim had consented to the relationship from the start and that the crime could therefore not be specified. Judge Eliana Cassales Tosi Bastos dismissed the argument, stating that “the victim’s consent can be terminated at any point during the libidinal act, at the beginning, in the middle or at the end”.

One of the victim’s lawyers, Maira Pinheiro, explained that she could not speak about the trial or the testimony itself as the case is being kept secret by the Justice Department, but stressed the importance of speaking about consent. “There is no contract of liability in a sexual relationship like the terms and conditions that we click to join a social network. Consent can be withdrawn at any time, and any behavior after saying ‘no’ is criminal. If it’s violent, “Physical bondage is rape. If not, it’s sexual harassment. But it’s still a crime,” says Maira.

Let’s also talk about the new developments in the case of the selfproclaimed medium João de Deus, who has been under house arrest since the beginning of the pandemic. Between 2010 and 2018, he was convicted on three other counts of vulnerable rape and sexual harassment by cheating on eight women. The sum of his punishments already amounts to almost 400 years.
