A night of sleeplessness due to a “questionable” carbonara dish ended in style for an Australian who reportedly used his poor quarter of an hour to check a lottery ticket which turned out to be a winner.
“Saturday night was no fun for anyone at my house. A [plat de] “The questionable carbonara left me feeling very unwell and unable to sleep all night,” the new millionaire from New South Wales told Australian media Nine News on Monday.
After running around for hours on Saturday evening, the man from Berkley Vale on the Central Coast reportedly took advantage of his insomnia to check his lottery ticket for Saturday's draw.
At the time, his eyes reportedly widened when he realized he had a winning ticket worth A$1.2 million in his hands.
“I felt better immediately. The adrenaline began to rise and then sleep was forgotten. I woke up my partner and we were both in shock for a while,” he continued to Australian media.
The man now “primarily” wants to use the money to buy his very first house, then “simply prepare for the future and enjoy this moment,” he confessed and still didn’t believe it.
