In 2001, the first episode of Smallville: As Aventuras do Superboy premiered. The series featured Superman’s story, which focused on his youth and inexperience as a hero.
The character Clark Kent was played by the actor Thomas John Patrick Welling, popularly known by his stage name Tom Welling. Time passed and the star turned 45 years old.
He is already the father of two children from his relationship with Jessica Rose Lee. During his acting career, Tom has appeared in the cast of several films such as A House of a House, The Mist and JFK, the Untold Story.
He was discovered in the spring of 1977 after vacationing in Nantucket. A scout for photographer Bruce Weber invited him to create a catalog for Abercrombie & Fitch.
After considering the proposal, Tom accepted the invitation and began his modeling career by publishing photos in the Abercrombie & Fitch Natal Quarterly. The work helped him later appear in “Karate Rob.”
But it was on Smallville that the star gained worldwide recognition and a legion of fans around the world. Some of his recent work has included the first season of Batwoman, the third season of Lucifer and The Choice. He will also play Sam and Dean Winchester’s grandfather in The Winchesters.
On Instagram, Welling has more than 1.1 million followers and is always posting photos with his family and sharing details about his new projects.
