He kills the little dog he got to fill his loneliness

A 71-year-old Belgian man butchered Pantoufle, the little Maltese who had just been given to him by a couple to help him overcome his loneliness.

The animal was offered after a call from the man on social networks from the apartment where he lived.

In his message, René said he was suffering from isolation and wanted to adopt another dog after the death of his former partner Bouba, reports RTL info.

“I have no more news from my family or friends. The presence of an animal is so comforting,” he also told Sudinfo, a local publication, a few days before the tragedy.

His appeal on Facebook was heard.

A sympathetic couple decided to offer René their small, four-year-old, white-haired dog.

The meeting went well, according to the generous donors who traveled more than 100 kilometers to hand over their Maltese.

However, the coexistence between René and his new canine companion quickly degenerated after the couple left.

Pantoufle’s barking was incessant and overwhelmed René.

Around 11 p.m., the man had had enough and cut the small animal’s throat with a knife.

The couple found out about the tragedy by calling the next day to find out how the two new roommates had adjusted.

According to RTL information, he also recovered Pantoufle’s remains and buried him in his garden in the town of Colfontaine.
