He leaves a cat in a box at a gas station with a note saying “Jackie would prefer a quiet place”

Luckily, someone noticed this box being left at a petrol station in Edinburgh, Scotland. In fact, there was a litter box and, most importantly, a cat, without a microchip and without a leash.

A note was attached to the box: “This apartment cat’s name is Jackie and she’d rather have a quiet spot.”

The person who found him immediately alerted the Scottish branch of the Animal Welfare Organization (SPCA), who rescued the kitten.

Luckily Jackie had no wounds on her body; given the circumstances, it can be said that he was in good physical condition. But she was still scared. Leaving was traumatizing not only because of the fact itself, but also because of the absolutely irresponsible way in which it happened.

If you can no longer take care of your cat (or dog, hamster…) you can contact organizations dedicated to the protection and rescue of animals. What you shouldn’t do is leave it on the street.

Luckily Jackie is now safe in one of the Spca’s rescue centers who will take care of her and try to find her new housing. Looking for a better owner than the previous one – finding him shouldn’t be that hard.
