He had insisted on paying for his lemonade before leaving the scene: A young Spaniard was arrested after robbing a gas station in southern Spain with an accomplice, police said on Friday.

The young man, who is still a minor, is accused of attacking this gas station near Málaga in Andalusia with his friend with an imitation pistol on the evening of January 2nd.
“After threatening the employees, he took the money from the cash register, around 2,000 euros,” according to a police press release.
“Strangely, he decided to pay for the soda he had grabbed from a display before escaping,” she adds.
The young man and his accomplice, who are accused of lending him the fake gun and giving him instructions during the robbery, were identified and arrested after just 48 hours of investigation, the release said.
While in police custody, one of the two young people “spontaneously told the police (…) that he wanted to buy a scooter with the stolen money,” the police said.
