Stunning footage shows the moment a black bear raced towards a child on a scooter – but was soon scared away by a man nearby.
The little boy was standing near a fence when suddenly a large black bear came towards him.
But in a moment of pure bravery, the child stopped and continued to look at the bear, causing the animal to hesitate and stop.
Then a steadfast passer-by appears, apparently seeing that the child’s life was in danger, intimidatingly raises his arms in the air and walks straight towards the animal.

In the TikTok video shared by @ruderocaloha, viewers soon saw the man successfully scare away the bear within a few seconds.
After the bear ran away, the child rode his scooter while the man checked to make sure there was no danger to him or others.
The boy’s mother, Brittany Hardy, shared part of the video on her TikTok page. She wrote about her son’s courage and thanked the man for all his help.
“My son wins the staring contest with a bear and runs away after a neighborhood neighbor jumps in and scares him away. “Thank you to this kind person for being there at the right time!” She said.
Many users praised the man’s heroism and the child’s courage in the comments section of the original video.
