Sam spent most of his life in an animal shelter in Romania, almost 8 years. At the end of this endless wait, the story of the heartbroken stray dog was shared on social media. Luckily, one user has chosen to put an end to their ordeal.

In 2015, Sam was adopted into an animal shelter in Romania. He was just a puppy then. He wisely awaited the arrival of his eternal masters, but it was many years before they arrived…
8 years wait
Sam was becoming “completely depressed,” reports the Daily Record. Saddened by his story, the Pawprints to Freedom (PTF) association decided to share a photo of Sam on social media to help him meet the family of his dreams.
This British association operates mainly in Romania, where it has three shelters that house dogs awaiting adoption in the United Kingdom.

Now 9 years old, Sam has finally won the heart of a woman: that of Sally McGregor, a big dog lover. “I couldn’t take my eyes off him,” she says. I cried when I saw his photo. »
A new adventure full of love
Thanks to the Scot, Sam was finally able to leave the shelter! The dog boarded the Happy Bus – PTF’s minibus that transports dogs to the UK – and arrived at his new home.

After living in an animal shelter all his life, Sam met Sally, her fiancé John, their son Clay and two other animals: a dog named Boycie and a cat, Flash. “He’s so happy and relaxed,” says his new owner.
