A “well-known” 40-year-old from Sherbrooke Police was arrested for allegedly exposing his genitals in a park while he was “heavily drunk” on Monday.
Earlier in the afternoon, police officers from the Service de Police de Sherbrooke (SPS) received a call regarding a “heavily intoxicated” individual who had allegedly shown his genitals to passers-by in Dufresne Park.
Upon their arrival, witnesses could have given them the whereabouts of the suspect, who was arrested behind a building on rue Belvédère Sud.
The 45-year-old turned out to be a “very well-known” person to the police, as the SPS announced in writing.
“After the police took the witnesses’ version and identified the person, they were able to arrest the man on charges of indecent behavior, violation of probation conditions and misdemeanor in matters of sexual order,” police said in a press release on Tuesday.
The man who is currently being held and is expected to appear later today via video conference.
