But Helen Skelton found something to smile about on Tuesday as she showed off her knife-throwing skills in a new video shared to Instagram.
The Countryfile presenter, 38, looked delighted and remarked: “I really enjoyed this!” after honing her new skills and repeatedly hitting the target during a trip to a rural farm.

Helen looked radiant in an animal print sundress by Wyse London, which she paired with a pair of burgundy sandals.
The TV star added gold hoop earrings and left her blonde tresses loose for the day to finish off her look with bold red lipstick.
Helen looked in her element as she happily boasted to the camera about how good her knife throwing skills were as she took aim and exclaimed, “Bullseye!”
It comes after Helen admitted her life is currently in “chaos” as she addressed her split from husband Richie.

The presenter appeared on Monday’s episode of Lorraine, where she revealed her mum Janet is currently helping her with her and Richie’s three children, Ernie, seven, and Louis, five, and baby Elsie, six months.
Lorraine began the interview by saying, “Helen, it’s so nice to see you. You’ve had a pretty rough time, I know. But the best way to get over things is to just get back out there — work out there.”
Helen replied, “I think anyone in my position would say the same thing,” as her dogs began barking in the background. “I have three young children and a very noisy dog, as you can hear.”

Turning to her dog, Helen said, “Stop it! You time it perfectly, don’t you?!’
Lorraine replied, “It’s fine. Kids and dogs and all that, your life is like this, it really is like this. And you’re used to the chaos! So you’re my kind of woman, you put on a brave face and do the series again -“
Helen split from husband Richie, 31, in April after eight years of marriage.
The split came just four months after the birth of the couple’s third child, Elsie.
It was recently announced that Richie has started a new relationship with the daughter of the multi-millionaire president of Leeds Rhinos Club, for which he plays.

Helen is said to be “confused” about the breakdown of her marriage to Richie, whose new partner is Stephanie Thirkill, 32.
A source close to the couple told M: “Helen is absolutely devastated. Now she’s contemplating life without him while he’s moved on with his new partner.”
“Richie insists there was no crossover, that he began the romance with Stephanie after their marriage collapsed, but Helen feels let down. They are still married and their baby is literally four months old.

Stephanie is the daughter of Andrew Thirkill who is one of the richest businessmen in Leeds and is worth an estimated £175million.
Former Blue Peter star Helen confirmed their split on Instagram, writing: “Very sad to say that Richie and I are no longer a couple.
“He left the family home. We will do our best to raise our little children together.”
