Parks and Recreation star Helen Slayton-Hughes has died aged 92, her family announced Thursday.

The beloved actress, who played the spirited Ethel Beavers on the hit series, died on Wednesday – a cause of death was not disclosed.

In a tribute to the star, her family’s statement read: “Helen passed away last night. Her pain is gone, but her wild spirit lives on.

“Thank you for the love and support of her and her work. Rest sweetie.”

Helen played court stenographer Ethel on the popular political satire mockumentary sitcom from 2011-2015.

The star won an army of fans with her hilarious and edgy putdowns, starring alongside Amy Poehler, Chris Pratt and Aubrey Plaza for 11 episodes.

Her character agreed to be adopted by the characters Chris and Aubrey as their grandma in a hilarious episode of the iconic series.
