She started out as a child actress with a high-profile role, but now she's just a few days away from her 22nd birthday.
This dark-haired beauty was first introduced to the world as a child star on the hit series Desperate Housewives.
She was a main cast member in seasons five through seven before joining the series as a main cast member in the eighth and final season.
But she also has an important connection to the entertainment industry, being the younger half-sister of a major pop star.
Can you guess who this rising star is?
Madi has appeared in several television series and more recently attended the screenwriting program at Chapman University
She is Madison De La Garza.
She is best known for her role as Juanita Solis, the daughter of star Eva Longoria, on Desperate Housewives, while her half-sister is newly engaged pop star Demi Lovato.
It was a small, uncredited role for the child star, but she followed it up with a single-episode guest appearance on another of her sister's projects, the Disney show “Sonny With a Chance.”
Madi was perfect for the role as she played a younger version of her half-sister's character Sonny.
After proving she had what it took, she landed her most high-profile role to date on the popular ABC series “Desperate Housewives.”
She played Juanita Solis, who was played by another actor in the fourth season before taking over the role until the end of the series.
Juanita was the daughter of Gabrielle (Eva Longoria) and Carlos (Ricardo Antonio Chavira), but her mischief made her a natural source of comic relief on the primetime soap.
Since then, Madi has had a recurring role on the one-part CBS series “Bad Teacher” and also guest-starred on the ABC series “American Koko.”
She was last seen in the short film “Obviously” from earlier this year.
She also appeared in the four-part documentary “Demi Lovato: Dancing With The Devil,” which explored her older sister's career and her battle with substance abuse.

She was only six years old when she was cast on Desperate Housewives as a replacement for Juanita, the daughter of Eva Longoria's character Gabrielle
Born in Dallas, Texas, Madi graduated from high school in 2019 and then enrolled in the screenwriting program at Chapman University. Much of her schooling involves a slower pace of acting.
So far, she hasn't clarified whether she wants to continue acting or whether she wants to focus on writing instead. Her Instagram bio now lists her as a director and screenwriter, suggesting her ambitions now lie behind the camera as part of the creative team.
However, she has previously dealt with the devastating impact her early acquaintance conflict had on her.
During an appearance on the Heart Of The Matter podcast in April this year, Madi revealed that she developed an eating disorder at the age of seven, just a year after being cast on Desperate Housewives.
She said she was bullied online as a child and read mean comments about her weight.
“The reaction I got to my character on Desperate Housewives was just shocking,” she said. “Many people commented that they were “concerned about my health.” And I personally believe that that's just not true, that that was a cover-up so they could just judge a six-year-old.”
Garza's parents wouldn't allow her to go online unsupervised, but she still sat at the computer when they weren't looking and saw the most hateful comments.
She recalled falling down a rabbit hole and spending “hours” reading negativity about her body from complete strangers.
“I spent an awful lot of time reading through these comments and most of them were just horrible. “They said things like they wanted me to die because of the way I look. “It was just terrible,” she remembers. “And that was when I was seven, eight years old.”
She added: “Reading comments like this definitely affected my mental health and ultimately contributed to me developing an eating disorder at a young age.”
She didn't think her treatment was a surprise to her on-screen mother, Eva Longoria, as her entire presence amounted to some kind of visual joke.
“The whole joke of my character was that Eva was this skinny, beautiful model and her daughter turned out to be the exact opposite,” she explained. “And I think she was very aware that this would affect me.”
But even though the two never “explicitly” spoke about body image issues and cyberbullying, Garza recalled that Longoria “definitely did everything she could to make me feel pretty and special, and she did made me feel like I belonged to the family.” .'

She has since gotten sober like her big sister and is now focusing on writing and directing after making several short films. She celebrates her 22nd birthday on December 28th
“And if I ever wanted to go to her with those things, I definitely would have,” she said.
Like her sister Demi, Madi announced earlier this year that she was now sober after realizing she was relying too much on substances, which she described to E as her “best friend”! News.
She said it was an inspiration to see her sister Demi get sober after they came so close to death from an overdose.
Madi's next big milestone will be her 22nd birthday on December 28th.
