The one who calls himself “404” says he got into the world of cybercrime when he was 18.

Man was fascinated by computers and technology and studied computer science at the university. This aroused his curiosity about the estate and led him “down a dark path”.

The latter claims to have made up to half a million dollars in a year, but refuses to say exactly what he did with all that money, content to talk about normal living expenses and investments in the industry.

“404” believes in his eight years as a cybercriminal to have discovered the many security holes that endanger all Internet users.

“Most people are completely unaware of how vulnerable they are online,” he says.

The latter is now encouraging people to be more aware of the information they share online, especially on social networks.

Here are 4 actions he recommends to increase your cybersecurity:

Fraud, phishing, and other scams are common in your email inbox.

For this reason, 404 recommends always verifying the origin of a message to ensure its legitimacy. Misspellings, impersonal greetings, or threatening language should alert you that an email may be fraudulent.

To prevent hacker attacks, it is advisable to use complex passwords and not to use the same password everywhere.

Make sure your operating system, antivirus, browser, or other important software is up to date. While antivirus programs like Bitdefender, McAfee, and Norton are usually effective at stopping cyber pirates, it’s important to make sure that this software is up-to-date and properly configured.

Two-factor authentication is a recommended method to prevent hacker attacks.
