A blockbuster
One only has to watch the video montage Beyoncé posted to Instagram to understand the scale of this massive tour. Everything is grandiose: the many silver costumes that cling to the diva like a second skin, the pyrotechnic effects (explosions, flames, fireworks), the light show, the troupe of dancers performing impressive choreographies, the presence of articulated robots on the stage, and Accessories with futuristic and disco accents reminiscent of another galaxy.

Seven years after her last solo tour, Beyoncé, 41, is having fun chaining characters on stage. Her first futuristic Catwoman costume is by Alexander McQueen, two of her Loewe jerseys were designed by Jonathan Anderson (the designer behind Rihanna’s costume during her Super Bowl 2023 halftime appearance), and her multicolored holographic outfit is by Japanese label Anrealage. We can see Queen Bee dressed in turns as Queen Bee, TV news presenter and Pope Joan and then sitting on her diamond horse and flying above the crowd.

But what did Queen Beyoncé sing at that first show of her Renaissance tour? This question burns on the lips of all his admirers. In total, she revisits 36 songs during her performance in seven scenes that last almost three hours in total. The twins, famous dancers from the show Révolution, shine on stage alongside the amazing Beyoncé. An extremely lucrative tour
The international singer managed to raise more than $2 billion for this ninth career concert series. According to Forbes magazine, the Renaissance tour will be even more lucrative than Taylor Swift’s hugely popular Eras. Part of the reason for this is the average price of a Renaissance ticket, which is around $700, and the derivative merchandise sold on-site. Queen Bee will be performing at 54 venues around the world from May 10th to September 27th, 2023. Canadian cities include Toronto and Vancouver.
