Entrepreneur Ray Junior Courtemanche himself confided this in an interview with Narcity, when he wants MOANA to become the largest indoor multi-recreation complex in the province of Quebec.
The opening of the water park was originally planned for 2023, but economic problems caused by the pandemic, the war in Ukraine that is shaking the world economy, rising material costs and rising interest rates have meant that the construction of the project had to be postponed.
“MOANA Aquatic Park will start building the project when the economic situation stabilizes and the banking institutions give us the green light. In the meantime, we are working hard to develop the concept and create innovative ideas,” says Courtemanche.
The businessman also made us discover some of the novelties and attractions that this complex will have in store, which will be located right next to the Premium Outlets Montreal in Mirabel, and it promises to be beyond exciting.

“The MOANA Aquatic Park is a massive 500,000 square feet filled with water attractions, games and activities for the whole family,” says Mr. Courtemanche.
Inside, visitors can enjoy giant slides, a water roller coaster, a lazy river, water features for little ones, and more. Also, as you notice in the picture above, some of the slides make loops outside the building, both in summer and in winter.
“The tubes will be translucent to bring great joy to our customers,” says the entrepreneur. Imagine slipping into a bathing suit and watching the snowflakes fall outside. Quite a unique experience!
The architecture of the water building is also designed to represent a giant wave.
The company is also committed to adhering to the strictest health and safety protocols to ensure a safe entertainment experience for all visitors. “For the environment, we will create a very efficient internal water filtration system to recycle our water from our facilities in the building,” assured the investor and real estate developer.

On the contrary, the complex will also include two hotels that will be connected by an airway that will allow warm circulation through the three buildings.
