In a conversation with Allure, Jennifer revealed that she spent years trying to conceive, trying every method she could in her “late 30s, 40s.”
In addition, at the same time, she was sharply asked by the public if she would ever get pregnant.
“It’s been a challenging journey for me, the baby-making journey. All the years and years and years of speculation… It’s been really tough,” Jennifer said.
She continued: “I went through IVF, drank Chinese tea, whatever. I threw everything at it. I would have given anything if someone said to me, ‘Freeze your eggs. You just don’t think so.”
While Jennifer says “the ship has sailed,” she has “zero” regrets about not having kids — and is actually a little relieved that she doesn’t have to think about it anymore.
After the emotional interview, many of Jennifer’s celebrity friends showed their support for the actor in the comments section of her Instagram post about the interview.
Including her ex Justin, to whom she was married from 2015 to 2017. He left a fist punch and heart emoji comment on Jennifer’s post.
Though Jennifer hasn’t specifically spoken out about her marriage to Justin or if they’d tried to have children together, it’s clear the two are still friends.
In the interview, Jennifer even mentioned that Justin had recently stayed at her house – and joked about the renovations she’d been doing since their split.
Meanwhile, Jennifer’s ex Brad Pitt has yet to reveal his thoughts on the interview.
