The year isn’t over yet, but this Spotify fulfilled the tradition of releasing Retrospective 2022 (wrapped) to all its users. The campaign has been available to Android and iPhone (iOS) users since Wednesday (30th). Retrospective allows users to review and share their most listened to artists, songs, albums, and podcasts throughout the year.

This year Wrapped has something new. That’s because Retrospective brings a new feature called Your Sound Personality. In the new article it is possible to know your personality through your consumption trends. There are 16 personality types in total, which point to details about your taste in music.
Another novelty in the 2022 edition is Your Day in Audio, which shows the differences in the user’s music tastes throughout the day. Both tools are only available in the Spotify app, which needs to be updated before using it.
The Spotify 2022 Retrospective brings together artists, genres, songs, podcasts and minutes listened to on the platform. On the page dedicated to Wrapped 2022, users can also check upcoming events and concerts of their favorite artists without leaving the application.
How do I create my Spotify Retrospective 2022?
The Spotify 2022 Retrospective is available within the app itself, for both Android and iOS. In the app, the user just needs to tap on the Spotify Retrospective 2022 option to access their most popular content throughout the year.
However, if you don’t see the option when you open the application, simply access the Wrapped page by clicking here. After logging in, the link takes you directly to the retrospective in the apps.
How do I share the results?
This year, in addition to the traditional sharing on Instagram Story, the retrospective can also be shared natively via direct message on WhatsApp, Instagram and Facebook Messenger. Even Snapchat has received a custom lens called “Auditory Personality” that creates “special outfits” for use with Bitmojis in the app.
In addition to listeners, artists and podcast creators can also watch their own 2022 retrospective on Spotify. So it is possible to know how the platform users have interacted with the materials and what they have listened to the most this year. In this case, the tool is available on Spotify for Artists and Spotify for Podcasters.
