Here’s the big news for La Belle Tour Season 3 – 7 Days

For the third time, Guy Jodoin lets us discover the best that Quebec has to offer. It offers us enchanting musical performances, entertaining encounters and interviews with personalities who testify to their connection to their region in postcard-worthy settings.

Guy, have you started filming season three? The beautiful tour?
Naturally! Last year in April we started filming at the Mount Royal lookout, but believe it or not, it was snowing! Despite the cold, we had a lot of fun, but in order not to freeze this year, we started shooting a little later than in previous seasons, namely at the beginning of May!

What’s new?
Yes. We do without the big stage and rely on a stage with variable geometry. This allows us to base ourselves in slightly more unusual places and push the concept a little further to highlight the most beautiful places in Quebec. In our first show, we shot in the heart of the Saint-Gabriel vineyard in Saint-Gabriel-de-Brandon, in Lanaudière!

Who are the guests of this first show?
Yves Lambert, Éléonore Lagacé and Luc De Larochellière open the season. This year our guests are not necessarily singers. For example, Élise Guilbault is also featured in the first show because she is from Saint-Lin-Laurentides in Lanaudière. It is she who opens the new segment “La belle visite”! For this occasion, Élise and I went to the Cantine Marceau.

Did the employees know about this?
No way! And that’s what makes this segment so fun, because we unexpectedly end up at a company in the region and people don’t expect to see us at all. Curious about our presence, they come to talk to us and it leads to a nice impromptu exchange. The “Postcard” segment is back, too, but not necessarily musically. In the first broadcast, the storyteller Michel Faubert from the Charbonniers de l’enfer comes to tell us a story at the Abbey of Val Notre-Dame in Saint-Jean-de-Matha.

Being in the front row and listening to a story or a song must be a wonderful moment! This is actually one of my favorite moments from the series. Last year Klô Pelgag sang in a church in Bas-Saint-Laurent and there was just me
and the technical team. We all had goosebumps, it was so gentle, intimate, frozen in time. Ditto for Florent Vollant, who sang in Innu during our visit to the north coast: I really “got something”, as they say in good Quebec! (laughs).

When you go outside you are always at the mercy of the weather!
Oh yeah! We always have plans B, C and D in case A doesn’t work out! (laughs) I remember last year we were supposed to be shooting in an absolutely amazing location in Bic, in Bas-Saint-Laurent. Since it was terribly windy that day, it was impossible to take pictures at the water’s edge. So we set up a mini stage in the middle of a field on which Roch Voisine sang with horses running backwards. It was breathtaking!

LOCAL ENTREPRENEURS

The “Tire-toi une bûche” segment presents companies in the region visited. “During my visit to Lanaudière, I met Jessica Langlois. Her lover is a craftsman who makes leather handbags. Seeing all the leftovers, she decided to make little slippers for children. Today, his company Les mains d’ici offers several products made in Quebec!
