Nene Leakes’ eldest son, Bryson Bryant, has reportedly been released from prison after being caught with fentanyl. Now it seems as if the young adult has received a helping hand from someone who knows life all too well.
Former NBA player Lamar Odom reportedly reached out to the 33-year-old to offer him treatment at one of his rehab facilities.

According to RadarOnline, Odom is good friends with The Real Housewives of Atlanta alum and enjoys supporting their son. The couple starred together on BET’s reality series “College Hill” in 2022. The source indicated that Leakes has not yet reached out to the basketball player, who reportedly believes a recovery clinic would positively benefit Bryant.

Odom knows firsthand what it’s like to struggle with substance abuse, as he is a recovering addict. The two-time NBA champion has previously spoken about his use of hard drugs such as cocaine. In 2015, he suffered a near-fatal overdose after mixing cocaine, cognac and cannabis at a Nevada brothel.
During his intensive hospital stay, Odom suffered 12 seizures and six strokes, with his heart stopping twice. He was able to make a full recovery and has become an activist for people struggling with sobriety.

Earlier this year, Odom launched the Odom Wellness Treatment Center, which partners with Vanity Wellness Center. The treatment center serves as a safe haven for recovering addicts who need a place to stay.
As previously reported, Bryant was arrested and charged with fentanyl possession back in July while in Gwinnett County, Georgia. When officers arrived at the scene, they claimed to have found a “small sheet of plastic containing a white, powdery substance” on the center console of his car. This substance was reportedly later tested as fentanyl.
Bryant reportedly used his younger brother Brentt Leakes’ name when arrested and was later charged with giving a false name.
Weeks after Bryant Leakes’ arrest, Leakes gave an update on his health while speaking on his podcast with Carlos King.
“He’s doing well,” the reality star said. “He needs rehabilitation. He needs a lot of advice. Like many families out there, I have family members who struggle with drugs and certain addictions.”
Leakes then confirmed: “He has an addiction. He’s been struggling with this for years. He went to rehab a few times and still came out and relapsed.”

The 55-year-old noted that while she will never “wash her hands” of Bryant, he has to be the one willing to come clean.
Bryant had previously been arrested in 2010, once for drug abuse and possession of a deadly weapon and again for marijuana drug possession. He was reportedly arrested again in 2011 for stealing razors from Walmart.
