All of his children came to celebrate his birthday in a festive atmosphere: “My five daughters and my son!” said the birthday.
One of his daughters, Gaétane Breton, couldn’t be happier.
“It doesn’t make sense, he’s healthy too! It’s wonderful, we’re still enjoying it,” she exclaims.
For the director of the residence, Valérie Poirier, and her assistant Manon Beaudoin, the hour is festive.
You only have good words for the centenary.
“He’s always in a good mood. He’s a gentleman who hums all the time,” says Ms. Beaudoin.
Maurice Breton admits it himself: he can’t stop singing.
“All the time, all the time, all the time I sing.”
On the occasion of his birthday, a representative of the MNA for Arthabaska, Éric Lefèvre, presented Mr. Breton with a certificate in honor of his birthday.
He also goes for long walks every day and does his shopping independently.
“I have nothing left. I walk a lot,” he says.
He was once the owner of a farm that later focused on chicken coops.
“I enjoyed working. I’ve spent my life making chicken coops. That’s why I’m in top shape today, I’ve always breathed clean air.”
It is not uncommon for him to steal the show with his dance moves.
It just takes a bit of music to get him stamping his feet and dancing with his family and friends.
And what’s his secret? Difficult for him to answer, but for those who share his everyday life, his zest for life and energy define him.
