The Lebanese group Hezbollah declared that this Saturday the 21st he launched six attacks against the North Israel, most of them using rockets or rockets, and three fatalities, amid escalating tensions on Lebanon’s southern border with Israel that have been going on for nearly two weeks. According to a Shiite statement, the first action was carried out this afternoon using guided missiles and “other weapons” against a number of military posts in the farms of Shebaa and in the hills of Kfarchouba, areas controlled by Jews Lebanon claims as its own and that it faced similar attacks earlier in the week. The first episode on Saturday included an attack on the Al Abed facility in which several pieces of technical equipment were destroyed, a statement from Hezbollah’s press office said.

Subsequently, the Shiite group, considered a terrorist by the United States and the European Union, carried out another attack, also with guided missiles, against the Hanita post and against an Israeli infantry force in the occupied Honin barracks (Ramim), according to Hezbollah statements caused confirmed casualties. The Lebanese organization’s latest attack was against a Hummer vehicle belonging to the “occupation forces near Doviev Barracks,” killing and injuring crew members, although the number was not specified. The Shiite formation suffered three casualties within its own ranks and claimed that some of its operations had caused some Israeli casualties, which it did not specify, and that Israeli army equipment had been destroyed.

Since October 8, the Lebanese Shiite group Hezbollah and Israeli forces have been involved in crossborder attacks between the two countries, which have also included actions by Palestinian factions on Lebanese territory. So far, at least 28 people have been killed on the Lebanese side as a result of the outbreak of violence. The escalation has raised fears that Lebanon could become a second front in the war between Israel and Gaza militias, while the Lebanese government is maintaining contacts at home and abroad to try to contain the situation.
