The Lebanese Shiite militia party Hezbollah claimed this Monday to have carried out an attack against a group of Israeli soldiers who were “preparing an operation on Lebanese territory” as part of the clashes that broke out at the border following the attacks by the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) on October 7th.
The group said in a statement that it carried out a “missile” attack against “an Israeli force in the area of the Zarit base.” – in northern Israel – who was preparing for aggression on Lebanese territory,” according to Hezbollah-affiliated television channel Al Manar.
He assured that the operation “caused confirmed casualties among its ranks” and stressed that the attack was carried out “in support of the steadfast Palestinian people of the Gaza Strip and in support of their courageous and honorable resistance.”
