The leader of the Lebanese Islamic Resistance stressed the party’s ability to maintain security in the country and emphasized its efforts to build a strong state without corruption.
In this regard, Damoush noted that the priority is to address the crisis and citizens’ concerns about a decent life in the face of deteriorating economic conditions.
He believed that there was a political team that did not learn from its failed experiences and, instead of calling for a unified president, openly called for internal confrontation.
He stressed that this logic blocks the path to a solution and consensus and does not contribute to a state or to the salvation of Lebanon.
On this issue, he argued for a President of the Republic with the ability to unite the Lebanese, maintain civil peace and work to save the country from collapse.
At the same time, he stated that Hezbollah will not accept the arrival of a leader who serves the enemies of Lebanon, but at the same time emphasized the continuity in the path of resistance to protect the assets and wealth of the Levantine nation.
Since September 29 last year, Lebanon has been trying to elect the new representative of the Maronite Christian community as head of state after the end of Michel Aoun’s term of office on October 31.
On June 14, Parliament repeated the same scenario as in the previous eleven sessions, when no candidate received the support of the majority of 128 MPs, extending the period of power vacuum.
