High tension in Kosovo: Serbian military vehicles at the border

After the war in Ukraine, tensions in the region rise again Balkans. A few days before the elections, which are to take place on April 3, the Serbs are denied a vote Kosovo who have to return to their country of origin to express their preference. Meanwhile, the tanks are returning to the border between the two countries.

In fact, Belgrade has never recognized the independence of Kosovo, which it still regards as an integral part of its territory. The same applies to some areas of the small state with which one still feels connected Serbia. It is no coincidence that in the last few days several people from Kosovska Mitrovicaa city in the north of the country took to the streets to demonstrate against the Prime Minister of Pristina Albin Kurti. According to some locals, the latter would have helped worsen relations between two nations that were never really friends. That’s why more and more signs appeared like “We only believe in President Vukic” (the Serbian head of state, editor’s note) or “You destroyed the Brussels agreement”.

Fuse who finally lit the fire, then the case judge Removed Serbian from the court in Kosovska Mitrovica. The magistrate was only removed from his post because he was part of a political delegation blamed for a behindcloseddoor confrontation with the Belgrade executive. A decision that would not exactly have been appreciated by the Kosovan government, which would have resulted in the togata being sent home, which would have caused no few controversies.

However, the actual spy, which does not bode well, remains the use of Serbian troops on the border. In the last few hours, images have been circulating on the internet showing heavy vehicles heading to the border. The army has been organizing many trips for months, especially in the last week.

Therefore, the whole world can no longer turn a blind eye and must act immediately to avoid another useless conflict. Given the primary climate prevailing in the socalled disputed areas, nothing really is enough to start a war that would lead to renewed death and destruction in these latitudes. We are also talking about a territorial reality where the borders between nations are not yet entirely clear and where populations with different cultures and histories often have to live together.
