PL from fake news

Deputy Cláudio Cajado (PPBA), rapporteur for the fiscal framework project in the Chamber, informs that the text will be presented next Wednesday (10). The decision was announced last week after a meeting with Mayor Arthur Lira (PPAL) and Finance Minister Fernando Haddad (PT).

“The proposals put forward by me and our technical team were well received, including the minister offering to discuss the changes with government teams,” Cajado said.

A new round of meetings with the main groups in the House is planned before the proposal is tabled. According to Haddad, the project retains the “backbone” of the original text shaped by the government.

“From what I understood from the conversation, the backbone of the project is to ensure fiscal responsibility with flexibility and intelligence in order to achieve the intended results with a welladapted development of macroeconomic variables and a reasonable medium and longterm horizon with it investors feel comfortable to move forward with more vigor in Brazil, I think this is consistent,” the minister said.

Statement by Anderson Torres

Former Attorney General Anderson Torres is due to make a new statement to Federal Police (PF) starting at 2.30pm this Monday. The filing deadline was set by Minister Alexandre de Moraes of the Federal Court of Justice.

The previous trial was abandoned after Torres’ defense produced a psychiatric report showing he would be unable to attend the hearing.

The PF is investigating the Federal Highway Police (PRF) blitz in states and cities where President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT) had more intentions to vote in the first round. Torres was former President Jair Bolsonaro’s (PL) Minister of Justice and had the power to order actions by the PRF.

PL from fake news

The leaders of the Chamber of Deputies used a maneuver to force a vote on an excerpt from the Fake News PL this Tuesday. Planned was an urgent request for recognition of a project authored by MP Jandira Feghali on copyright remuneration for artists.

Following the question, Jandira’s text was included on tomorrow’s House agenda.

In an audio sent to the heads of the artistic sector, the deputy explained that she plans to “copy” part of the Fake News PL in her project. The agreement was reached between the parliamentarian and the rapporteur of the document she wrote, Elmar Nascimento.
