In a clip that has now gone viral on TikTok, adults and children alike wait for the contestants to break open a piñata while the pooch joins in.
The video has been viewed more than 8.1 million times.
It shows the dog running towards the piñata and taking a healthy bite on it, enough to knock it over.

A second video shows a toddler staring at the pooch as he grabs the piñata and joins the wild race.
While it’s not known if the mischievous pup eventually gave up the piñata, one TikTok user joked that residents may still be asking about his whereabouts.
Another joked that the pooch was prepared for the scramble that tends to take place when candy and other treats are spilled on the floor.
“It goes without saying that you don’t know anyone with a pinata right now,” the TikToker wrote.
