A hilarious video shows the moment a giraffe kicked an ostrich that was about to attack it.
The footage begins with the ostrich closely following the giraffe at the St. Louis Zoo before coming face-to-face with the large animal, which is flapping its wings violently.
In response, the giraffe quietly kicked the ostrich with its hind leg, causing the flightless bird to shoot into the air and eventually crash to the ground.
It was then seen how it was about getting back up in the aftermath.
But a short time later, the ostrich tried to approach the giraffe again — only to run away and run straight into a rock face, according to Devika Seth, who filmed the encounter in late March.

The Texas judge told that she and her family were in Missouri for her daughter’s volleyball tournament when they decided to visit the local zoo.
“We noticed that there were two giraffes and an ostrich,” she said, noting that she found it odd that the zoo was lumping the two animals together.
“I wanted to see what would happen,” Seth said, already anticipating “drama” between the animals.
And indeed, there was.
Seth said she watched the two giraffes “kind of together” for a moment before parting ways.
Then, she said, the ostrich decided to attack.
“It was amazing,” she said, adding that she had to pause the recording for a while, “because my husband, daughter and I were laughing.”
After the video, she said, the two giraffes reunited and began nuzzling their necks as the ostrich approached them again.
The ostrich tried to approach the two giraffes a short time later, but when one of the large animals lowered its neck to look at it, it turned and ran into a wall
Seth said she knew “something’s going to happen,” so she started recording again as the larger giraffe lowered its head to watch the bird.
Caught in the act, the bird turned and walked away – crashing headfirst into a stone wall.
“I’ve never seen that kind of silliness,” Seth said, claiming she’s been to several zoos across the country and has never seen two different animals in the same enclosure.
