Hilarious New Year's wishes from 6 local comedians – Le Journal de Montréal

We can count on Quebec comedians to reflect on their 2023 and invite us to immerse themselves in 2024 in a very funny way. The newspaper discovered the sarcastic, absurd, touching or just plain funny wishes left on Instagram by six local personalities.

Rosalie Vaillancourt

The 31-year-old comedian, who will appear in the second season of the adventure reality show “Get Me Out of Here,” made sure to handwrite his comic desires like a young first-timer extraordinaire. His wishes for 2024 include “I want to spend less time on my phone and more time on my iPad” and “I want to listen to the 321 episodes of Stat that I miss to stay up to date.”

Laurent Paquin

Laurent Paquin, known as an insightful comedian, shared a carousel of photos from his fabulous 2023 (we see him in the company of several great comedians including Daniel Lemire, Yvon Deschamps, Anthony Kavanagh and Normand Brathwaite). “Big year 2023… I'm excited (and a little scared) to see what 2024 has in store for me. I wish you a happy new year, thanks to the public who have accompanied me in my life as an artist. I love you,” writes the 52-year-old artist.

Korine Côté

Comedian Korine Côté, 43, is seen beautifully in a black and white photo smiling at her 2023. In her beautiful end-of-year message, she combined introspective ideas with comical comments. “I had an eventful year in all areas of my life. Stormy emotions, great successes, exciting projects, an extraordinary environment and lots of new things. I leave there happy… I would like to say “I woke up like this,” but no. When I got there I looked like an old goat found in the trash and Cath Brunelle did that to me.”

Sam Breton

To mark the end of 2023, the 34-year-old comedian and animal lover published a photo of himself with his two dogs dressed as Olaf and Elsa, the characters from the animated film “Frozen”. He used the famous lyrics of the title song, he wrote: “Freed, extradited from 2023. Happy New Year.”

Phil Roy

“Love, friendship, family, jokes and moving boxes… 2023 what!” wrote Phil Roy under a carousel of photos from his last year. His highlights include the birth of his second child, a throwback photo show, photos of his lover and adult daughter Billie, and…a pizza ghetti and his dog with glasses.

Philippe-Audrey Larrue-St-Jacques

“2023, the year of a wedding, a premiere, unexpected and unexpected joys, a beautiful journey. Thank you to all participants!” said the expressionless 36-year-old comedian Philippe-Audrey Larrue-St-Jacques. Through his memories of 2023, we discover a photo of him in the company of Yvon Deschamps, others from various trips, pseudo-philosophical graffiti and the sea, in which a poster with the inscription “The end” is placed with a basketball hoop .
