QINGDAO, China, Sept. 20, 2023 /PRNewswire/ — The fourth Global Laser Display Industry Forum is being held today in Qingdao, China, bringing together global laser display industry experts, academics, and over a hundred companies such as Hisense, Leica, among others Camera, Texas Instruments and Nichia come together to discuss the latest technological developments and much more. Dennys Li, President of Hisense Visual Technologydelivered a speech entitled “Scenario Breakthrough: Laser Display Opens an Extraordinary Era”, introducing Hisense’s scenario-driven laser TV strategy and recent global achievements.
Industry experts expect laser displays to be the industry leader and become the most widely used display technology on the market in the next three to five years. As the new leader in display technology, laser display is also the pioneer of the cutting-edge, scenario-based revolution that enables intelligent life for all scenarios.
Laser television was a significant achievement for Hisense’s globalization. At CES 2023, Hisense introduced the world’s first 8K laser TV, leading the laser display industry in the 8K era. Hisense is committed to making laser TVs the best solution for large home screens so that consumers can enjoy a premium visual experience. According to Omdia data, Hisense shipped 41.8% of the industry’s laser TVs in the first half of 2023, ranking first in the global laser TV market.
According to its strategic direction, Hisense plans to invest more in setting up four major laser TV R&D centers in Qingdao, Shenzhen, Japan and the United States to further integrate R&D, production and sales, and improve the laser TV Gradually update display technology. As of June 30, 2023, Hisense has filed 2,230 patent applications and granted 1,075 laser display patents worldwide.
At present, Hisense has set up three innovation centers focusing on home, vehicle and commercial installation scenarios. Hisense will invest to build a global group of designers and visual team dedicated to new media and work with automotive brands to continuously create immersive experiences.
