(Ottawa) Prime Minister Justin Trudeau will travel to Jamaica for a family vacation next week during the holiday season.

The Prime Minister's Office said Mr. Trudeau would travel to the Caribbean country with his immediate family from December 26 to January 4.
Jamaica is also where Mr. Trudeau and his family spent time after Christmas last year when they traveled to British Columbia for their summer vacation in August this year.
He will be traveling with Sophie Grégoire after the couple announced earlier this year that they were separating after 18 years of marriage.
At the time, the prime minister's office said Canadians could expect to see the family together, and both said in individual statements that they would remain close.
The office said it consulted with the federal ethics commissioner before the upcoming trip and that the family will cover the cost of their stay as well as travel expenses on a government aircraft.
Mr. Trudeau will also stay in touch with staff and receive updates on current issues.
