Hollywood screenwriters’ union WGA reached a tentative agreement with studios on Sunday that could end the strike that has paralyzed the industry for nearly five months, according to a letter to its members seen by AFP.

“We have reached an agreement in principle on a new (minimum basic agreement) for 2023, i.e. an agreement in principle on all points of the agreement, subject to the final contract wording,” the letter says.
