'Home Alone' Star Devin Ratray Hospitalized In 'Critical Condition'

Home Alone star Devin Ratray's domestic violence trial has been postponed after reports the actor was hospitalized in “critical condition.”

According to TMZ, the 47-year-old's family member confirmed that Ratray, best known for his role as Kevin McCallister's (Macauley Culkin) evil older brother in the 1990 hit film, has been released from the hospital in New York City and is now , on doctor's orders, at home and rest.

Details of Ratray's hospitalization are scarce, and there are no precise details as to why and when Ratray was admitted. Still, the actor's medical emergency caused jury selection for his upcoming trial to be delayed.

Jury selection for the Oklahoma trial, which was scheduled to begin Monday, has now been postponed until February.

The Post has reached out to Ratray representatives for comment.

The ongoing ordeal comes less than two years after the actor was accused of raping his boyfriend in 2017.

According to CNN, in August 2022, Lisa Smith claimed that she was allegedly attacked in Ratray's Manhattan apartment.

Smith claimed the 45-year-old actor drugged her before sexually assaulting her.

She filed a police report shortly after the alleged ordeal.

Ratray denied all allegations against him and told CNN that he “did not have sex” with Smith.

Ratray was also arrested in December 2021 on domestic violence charges in an unrelated incident after he was accused of trying to strangle his then-girlfriend at a Hyatt hotel near downtown Oklahoma City.

According to TMZ, the woman filed a police report the day after the alleged incident, claiming Ratray punched her in the face, put his hand over her mouth and tried to strangle her after a feud broke out.

In an interview with People in December 2021, Ratray revealed that a Home Alone reunion with the original cast was in the works.

“They've been planning a reunion online and I just recently, like a few days ago, jumped into their Messenger chat thread and tried to keep up with Jed Cohen and Diana [Rein] and Terrie [Snell] and Angela Goethals and Hillary Wolf,” he said after reprising his role as Buzz in Disney+’s “Home Alone.”

“The family is moving of its own accord to get together,” he added. “So who knows what will happen in the future?”
