Home and Away’s Ada Nicodemou reveals behind-the-scenes secrets about filming a horror car crash scene
Home and away veteran Ada Nicodemou shared some behind-the-scenes photos from the car crash scene that aired Monday night.
Her character Leah Patterson-Baker was involved in a high-speed road accident during the season premiere, but Ada revealed in a video posted to Instagram on Tuesday that her most dramatic moments were actually filmed in a parked vehicle.
The clip showed her filming her panicked reaction shots while sitting in the stationary vehicle.

When the director calls “Action,” Ada immediately waves her head and arms around before bursting out laughing later after taking the shot.
The Sydney-born actress also shared a gallery of photos showing her posing on set and giving a thumbs-up while wearing her gory makeup.
In one photo, she has cuts on her face while smiling on a hospital set.
Another shows her with a metal bar taped to her stomach in preparation for the scene where her character is badly injured.

Ada once told Woman’s Day that there was a time when she almost walked away from Home and Away.
She admitted that she struggled with her role on the popular show in her early twenties.
“I was exhausted and just didn’t want to do a show, I just wanted a break,” Ada admitted.
“But 20 years later I’m still here!” she added.
