The village in Montreal’s Centre-South has similar problems. Traders are concerned about a lack of safety in the neighborhood, with many lamenting the City of Montreal’s inaction. In addition, a large-scale demonstration in the industry is planned tonight.
Protesters will exit Hope Park at 5:00 p.m. on Sainte-Catherine Street East. Dozens of people will make their way to the Ville-Marie council on rue Maisonneuve.
