Honda recall may affect more than 300,000 SUVs due to seat belt problems

Honda has issued a recall that may affect more than 300,000 2023 and 2024 HR-Vs and Accords because the vehicles may be missing a seat belt connector, which could increase the likelihood of injury in a crash.

According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the seatbelt pretensioner is missing a rivet designed to properly restrain passengers in the event of a crash.

According to a November 21 NHTSA recall report, rivet installation was skipped during assembly.
