Honduras will rebuild schools with financial support from China

This initiative, which will directly benefit more than four million people, is part of the bilateral agreements between this Central American country and the Asian country, whose diplomatic relations celebrate their first year in March.

This Thursday, the authorities of the Honduran Executive Branch, led by Foreign Minister Enrique Reina; Education Minister Daniel Sponda and other officials presented the project for comprehensive interventions in the infrastructure and equipment of educational centers, the local press reported.

At the meeting, which was also attended by Chinese Ambassador to Honduras Yu Bo, the head of the Honduran education department reported that around 1,200 schools were being rebuilt across the country.

Sponda expressed that the project represents real hope for the children and young people of Honduras, as it represents a radical change in the attention given to this population and the conditions in which teachers work.

“Every time the children go to school, the parents and guardians, the grandmothers, take the children to the schools. “The love of President Xiomara Castro will be there,” he stressed.
