Heartbreak has struck a newlywed couple from Ohio after her husband died in a freak water skiing accident on his honeymoon just three days after their wedding.
The tragedy occurred after Nate Kuhlman married his wife Marian on October 28 and they flew to the Caribbean island of St. Lucia for their dream honeymoon.
Details about how Nate lost his life remain unclear. According to WFLA, all that is known is that he died in a horrific water skiing accident.

In a fundraiser following his sudden death, Nate was described as a “wonderful husband, friend, son and brother in Christ.”
The fundraiser continued: “He had the opportunity to be thoughtful about every person he met, and those who were blessed to have a relationship with him were able to tell a list of stories detailing what a funny, friendly and adventurous person he was.”

Two fundraisers to help the family deal with the grief have already raised a total of more than $100,000.
In a Facebook post shared after the accident, Nate’s mother, Heather Kuhlman, said she would fly to St. Lucia after her son was “in the arms of Jesus.”
“Nate’s death took us all by surprise and simply took our breath away,” she wrote. “By God’s grace we are okay.” It’s so hard and painful, but we take each day one moment at a time.”
“I am sad that Nathaniel is no longer here with us, but I know he is very much alive in heaven and will be praying for us.”
“Please pray for us as we bring Nate home,” she added.

There have been numerous tributes to the Ohioan following his sudden death. One person who said they were at his wedding said it couldn’t have been nicer.
“Nate is a treasured friend,” she continued, noting that he would also be a best man at another friend’s wedding next week.
“He was a special part of the young adult group and this is devastating news for our community… Please pray for the repose of Nate’s soul and for all who love and miss him, especially his bride and his family.”
