Hospital admissions and deaths from Covid19 rise again in São Paulo state

The number of daily hospital admissions increased by 6% last week, according to figures released by the São Paulo government.

247 The daily average of hospitalizations for Covid19 in the state of São Paulo increased again in the 16th epidemiological week of 2022, between April 17th and 23rd. The number of daily hospital admissions peaked at 1,521 in January and then fell to a weeklow of an average of 146 admissions per day the week before. Crowds rose 6% last week, recording a daily average of 155 patients. The data was released by the government of São Paulo.

According to Mônica Bergamo’s column, the number of deaths also increased after six weeks of consecutive falls. An average of 22 people were killed per day, up from 20 last week, an 8.5% increase.

The number of testconfirmed cases continued to fall, from an average of 4,356 cases per day to 3,628 (down 16.7%).
