Investigators found that the three hostages were shirtless, waving a white flag and speaking Hebrew.. The three had managed to escape Hamas captivity in the Gaza Strip when they were killed by Israeli troops.
They walked through the Shujaia residential district in the east of the cityin an area of the Gaza Strip where Hamas fighters operated without uniform, creating ambushes for troops, according to initial elements of the investigation.
