Havana, May 23 (ACN) Today Hotel Roc PresidenteConsidered the dean of skyscrapers in Cuba, will turn 95 on December 28, but from now on his managers and collaborators will develop a whole advertising campaign, meetings, competitions and shows for such a significant event.
At a press conference, Arianna Hernández and Dayane Mejías, Deputy General Manager and Commercial Manager of the emblematic complex on Calzada y G in Vedado, which belongs to the Roc Hotels (Spain) and Gran Caribe groups, alluded to this. Each month there will be a show called Cuban Night that will include dinners and artist presentations, the first in June; Although in July a painting competition for children is added, in August the award ceremony and in September a photo competition is convened and the so-called Balcón del Habano is saved.
A literary competition will be launched in October, in which, as in these activities, both Cubans and foreigners will be able to participate with stories, poems, novels, testimonies and other content related to the history and life of the Roc Presidente. In November, the award ceremony will take place and in December the central act of the 95th anniversary.
The program includes recognition of regular and distinguished guests, as well as tours of the hotel for domestic and foreign visitors to see the beauty and comfort of the rooms, lounges and other areas that combine classic glamor with modern conveniences connect, and that makes it one of the most popular tourist enclaves in Havana.
More than 300 pieces, furniture and patrimonial paintings are exhibited in its premises, most of which are being restored on the occasion of the anniversary, and also in its more than nine decades, the installation pays tribute to events or moments linked to the lives of personalities and the nation itself.
Dayane Mejías recalled that since 1988 he was associated with the International Ballet and Jazz Plaza Festivals, the Casa de las América Awards and the Mayo Teatral events, among others, and there also the first meeting that created the Fundación del New Latin American Cinema hosted .
