How a Breakup Led to One Woman Discovering the Disease and Saving Her Life Universa

A woman from Texas in the United States says that after a heartbreak she found out she had been the victim of a stroke and the end of the relationship saved her life. Liv, 24, shared the story in a TikTok video that has already been viewed half a million times.

Liv, who was a student at Texas A&M University at the time, says she “cried so hard” after the breakup that “her head kept hurting like crazy.” She was taken to the hospital where she was given painkillers, but nothing helped the constant migraines.

When he ate dinner with a friend the following week, suddenly “everything went in slow motion”. After she almost passed out, she was taken to the hospital again. This time he had a CT scan that showed clots in a major vein in the brain. He immediately started taking blood thinners and after that the migraines stopped.

I once cried so hard over a broken heart that I had migraines for two weeks. I had a stroke when I was 20. No one believed me until I passed out and was taken to the hospital for a CT scan and discovered I had two blood clots in one of the main veins in my brain. The doctor said he was surprised I didn’t have a bigger problem and was dying in her place. All because a boy didn’t respond to me.

However, in a followup video, Liv clarifies that the blood clots were not from the “broken heart.” She believes the birth control pill she was taking was the cause of the stroke.

“The separation scream led to the migraine, but doctors think the clot was there longer,” she explains.

Liv adds that she was supposed to have surgery to remove what was left of the clots, but this was prevented by the emergence of the Covid19 pandemic.

“So I’m still trying to figure it out,” he jokes.
