How China ‘forced’ Covid-positive students to work and ‘covered up’ deaths: activist

Chinese human rights activist Jennifer Zeng, who tweeted about the progress Covid horror in Chinashared a series of tweets on Wednesday exposing how authorities were trying to cover up the death of a graduate student at a hospital affiliated with Sichuan University after allegedly forcing him to work despite tests Covid-19 positive.

Citing social media posts, Jennifer also claimed that Chen Jiahui, 23,’s parents were “forced to promise not to perform an autopsy” before being allowed to take the body away.

Jenniffer reportedly shared a video of Chen in the hospital and tweeted: “Disturbing! According to Chinese social media, 23-year-old Chen Jiahui, a graduate student at West China Hospital affiliated with Sichuan University, was forced to work after testing positive for #COVID. After 3 days of high-intensity labor, he suddenly passed out on December 13 and died 30 minutes after being taken to West China Hospital.”

“In order not to take responsibility, when all medical data showed that he was already dead, the hospital tried to ‘save’ him. After 12 hours of LUCAS rescue show(?), “we successfully turned the corpse into rotting minced meat and an edematous giant,” she said in another tweet.

Jennifer added that the hospital announced that he died of sudden cardiac death on December 14. “His parents had to promise not to do an autopsy before they were allowed to take the body away. The body was immediately cremated,” the activist tweeted.

Jennifer shared another video, saying it was “the video where they did a ‘rescue show.'” “His body was pressed so hard that his ribs were broken and his organs shattered. The same goes for Doctor #LiWenliang trying to revive his body as a show,” she claimed.

“On December 11, about 300 students from Sichuan University’s West China School of Clinical Medicine demonstrated to demand ‘equal pay for equal work and rejection of double standards,'” she claimed, reading a “Chinese-language” news report on the incident shared.

Meanwhile, in another tweet, Jenniffer shared a video from a “Beijing funeral home.” “When the man who shot the video asks the two workers why they don’t wear glasses to protect themselves, they say, ‘We’ve already tested positive. We are all positive. We’re moving the bodies in 24 hours,” the man says at the end,” she claimed.

HT has not been able to independently verify the authenticity of these videos.
