The actor Bruce Lee had two children named Shannon Lee, who is still alive, and Brandon Lee. With a career on the rise, Brandon suffered an accident while filming the sequel to the classic.The crow‘ which led to his own death.
In one of the scenes, his character would enter an apartment and find his fiancée [email protected] by criminals. One of the thugs was played by Michael Massee, who was supposed to shoot Lee.
Everything went as planned, but at the moment of the shot, something went wrong and Lee fell to the ground disconcertingly. Brandon was hit by a real projectile and died ten hours later on March 31, 1993.
The incident shocked the film industry at the time and sadly it happened again during the making of Rust when actor Alec Baldwin accidentally ran into cinematographer Halyna Hutchins.
The bullet passed through Hutchin’s abdomen, causing his death hours later. The gun used in the shot should have been loaded with blanks, but it was loaded with a .44 caliber projectile.
Movie ammo is used to make scenes look more realistic. They only contain gunpowder, not the piercing tip. Michael Massee, who fired the shot, was devastated at the time.
It was a great loss for the fans and for the cinema.
