How happy! Tobey Maguire takes a picture with a birthday boy, they unexpectedly met on the street
It’s not every day you’re lucky enough to bump into your heroes on the street, and it’s especially hard when you don’t live in the same town as them (or worse, when they don’t exist). But it was a 6-year-old boy’s birthday who was very lucky because, walking down the street with his mother dressed as Spider-Man, he recognized Tobey Maguire, who kindly took a picture with him and congratulated him. The experience was captured in a TikTok video.
Maguire isn’t exactly the Spider-Man of 6-year-olds, it’s that of 30-year-old adults, but his version of the superhero has become relevant again for the youngest since his appearance in Spider-Man: No Way Home (92%), making their trilogy canon in the Marvel Cinematic Multiverse. He touched millions of fans on this tape, on which he appears alongside Andrew Garfield and Tom Holland.
Maguire is the protagonist of the trilogy directed by Sam Raimi, consisting of Spider-Man (89%), Spider-Man 2 (93%) and Spider-Man 3 (63%). The first two parts are considered the best in superhero cinema, but the third part divided opinions, even if this has been claimed by some in recent years.
Few are as lucky as the 6-year-old to meet the actor head-on and pose for a photo with him. So it’s an experience that will be close to his heart for the rest of his life. The mother wrote on TikTok:
My 6-year-old son met his favorite Marvel Super Hero: SPIDER-MAN. Here is the longest interaction between my son and Tobey. Spider-Man wished him a happy birthday, gave him his name and shook his hand. My son was so fascinated.
The last film project Maguire appeared in was Babylon (63%), a film that failed miserably at the box office despite being cast with the likes of Brad Pitt, Margot Robbie, Olivia Wilde and Samara Weaving among others.
