solve the challenge

Lenstore, an online optics store in the UK, has launched a challenge for its customers to test their perception skills. Check out this optical illusion below:

Optical Ilusion.

Then they asked the following question: how many different colored eyes do you see in the picture above?

The picture has 20 eyes, 4 rows by 5 columns. In the first row you will see 5 different colors. Below that are 3 more lines with a cover above that will boggle the mind and make you think outside the box to solve the problem.

This image uses a type of illusion called MunkerWhite. This is a method that essentially changes the colors of shapes and lines to manipulate the viewer’s perception of the image. In this illusion, we visualize the shapes in more detail, leaving aside the details of the colors themselves. The tendency is that you count a number of suits way over the correct total.

Psychologist Michael White, who is responsible for creating this optical illusion, studied how to superimpose black and white lines to alter our perception of how light or dark the shape actually is.

According to Lenstore, to make the challenge easier to answer, simply bring your eyes closer to the image, as the illusion weakens as you get closer. This is because it makes it easier for the eyes to see the boundaries between lines and the shape behind them. To do this, you can use the “zoom” tool on your electronic device or use a magnifying glass to enlarge the image.

So did you manage to solve the challenge? Think outside the box, enlarge the screen and train your mind to test your cognitive and perceptual skills! Share it with your friends or family so they can join this experience too!
