Mauricio Barcelata and María José Suárez form one of the longest-running couples in Mexican entertainment.

Mauricio and María José met at an awards ceremony in the port of Acapulco (Jalisco) in the late 2000s, as they say their love was instantaneous and three months into their relationship they were waiting for it her first son Matthew. After deciding they wanted another baby, they volunteered to expand the family, but unfortunately she suffered three miscarriages.. “It was very difficult, very complicated and we went into therapy because we were on the verge of a divorce, it hit us both very hard; it a little more naturally and I say naturally because of the body because it someone lived inside her, inside your body.

After the first two losses, the third left the deepest mark on the young couple, since the fetus was almost five months pregnant. “It was very hard, because apart from that, they gave us the body, which was the most complicated thing of all, because (it was) ‘now what do I do, what do I do with this little being, what’s up with that, what I didn’t expect it, I expected to see it, but not like this.” They can’t deliver it to you there at the hospital either, they have to deliver it to you at the funeral home and they’ll deliver it to you in an empty chapel because we said, “Why are we going to invite people to talk to them? Nothing! And she and I walked in alone, hand in hand, and we walked into an empty chapel with a little white box—which I’ll never forget— and what are you doing now? And a man who was in the chapel still comes up and says to us: ‘Do you want to say goodbye?’ … Very difficult,” the actor also recalled.

Realizing that they were both suffering from depression because of these sad events, they decided to seek therapy. But the illusion of adding a new family member to the family didn’t stop there, and they pondered the idea of starting an adoption process, a decision encouraged by soap opera producer Elisa Salinas.

“(Elisa) told us it was a great experience, totally different, ‘It’s a different story, I have it, I’m living it,’ and she started pushing us a little bit all the way, and we kicked into the adoption process. we both sat down and said to each other ‘are we ready?’ and yes, ‘but how about we try again?'”

The hope of re-pregnancy also allowed them to close the wounds of the previous three defeats. “We’re giving away cots, we’re giving away clothes, shoes, everything we’ve had since we lost the first baby, we’ve gotten rid of everything, whatever happens, and if not, we have the option of adoption, whichever we want . in it moment, we get pregnant again when we let go, when we leave, when we recover as people, as people, as a couple“.

Valentino became the couple’s second child in a pregnancy that also had its anxieties. “We already knew that if there was pain there was something there and she already knew it and already felt it. We were both very touched, but we grabbed who knows where and hit the ground to get on.”

Reaching the family they longed for after this turbulence has also encouraged them to support each other in their personal and professional plans, as happened shortly after Valentino’s birth when María José was invited to participate in a men’s magazine, which Mauricio celebrated with great pride.

“He was just born (Valentino) when he said to me, ‘they invite me, ‘H’, ‘how?’, ‘yes’, ‘it’s amazing!'” he told Castañeda. However, the photo session was not supposed to take place due to the doubts of the actress.

“When I see what they’re doing and I start watching the footage, I’m like, ‘For this? do you see these photos This magazine is sensual, sexual, provocative, you have to be a little bit more…’ , ‘I just don’t trust these ones very much…'”. Barcelata asked the production, mentally, to see his wife succeed (and without one touch of fragile masculinity) to guide them. The session was a success.

The security and trust between them is such that this year María José decided to open her OnlyFans account and yes, Mauricio himself contributes by taking some photos that he himself uploads to the platform, confessed he to the journalist.
