How PFF rated 49ers defenseman Brock Purdy in alarming loss to Vikings – nbcsportsbayarea.com

The 49ers suffered their second straight loss in Week 7 on Monday Night Football, this time a disappointing 22-17 loss to the Minnesota Vikings, and the mistakes at every level of the game are reflected in San Francisco’s PFF results.

Brock Purdy, who has a passer rating of 145.3 when using play action, did so on just three of his 33 dropbacks Monday night. The quarterback completed all three of those attempts for a total of 20 yards, but when under pressure, Purdy struggled.

The second-year quarterback completed six of his nine attempts under pressure for 68 yards, two interceptions and a 49.5 passer rating. The Vikings’ defense also tightened the screws on the Iowa State product’s favorite target area on the field, 10 to 19 yards downfield.
