Whatever type of recreational vehicle you are looking for, be it an A, B Plus or caravan of any model, new or used, you are sure to find what you are looking for at the Foire du VR-Camping-Plein Air on weekends at the cruise terminal, Pier 30, in the Port of Quebec.
“It’s been three years since I thought about organizing an event like this,” explains organizer and specialist in the field, Jean-Marc Pageau. That’s why I decided to organize this event with dealers from the Greater Quebec City region, which has become a fair that takes place on weekends.
“On site, dealers will exhibit their new 2023 models, but also new 2022 models and even used models across the range. In these last two cases, it does not exist in any other event of this kind. »
To further increase the benefits for visitors to his event, Pageau asked retailers to offer unique terms.
“Our fair is an appointment where amateurs can buy a device. In addition, the dealers have decided to offer special conditions for several models that are only available during the event. For four days, people can benefit from prizes that they cannot find at other times. Manufacturers support retailers. »
Enthusiasts are entitled to a full selection of vehicles en route to the event.
“There are 30-, 39- and even 45-foot Class A motorhome models locally. There will also be Class B, B Plus and C models.

Class B Plus models will also be on display.
“For trailers, all models from the small trailer to the fifth wheel model that attaches to the pickup bed. There will be many ways to get a recreational vehicle. »
speakers and conferences
The cruise terminal will be literally surrounded by recreational vehicles of all kinds.
To make his event even more complete, Jean-Marc Pageau has brought together a multitude of industry representatives and speakers who will be waiting for visitors on the second floor of the terminal.
“Visitors will discover various kiosks offering products and services necessary for RV and camping enthusiasts,” says the organizer.
“For RVs, people will be able to see useful parts and accessories. In the camping world, there will be campsite operators such as the Boisé de la Chaudière, various organizations such as the Fédération québécoise de camping-caravaning, traffic controllers and a whole range of useful things for camping lovers.
“We also have artisans, like Solem with his camping equipment. “The Warrior’s Spices are ready to offer visitors quick meals,” he says.
There will also be a daily speaker area to keep visitors informed.
“We brought together various speakers, including Paul Laquerre, Editor-in-Chief of FQCC Magazine. There will also be conferences on accessories, information on lithium batteries, electricity on board the vehicle, solar panels for more autonomy and much more. Everything possible that is interesting for camping and caravanning enthusiasts. »
long-term plan
The aim of the event is to give visitors the opportunity to discover the latest trends and technologies in the field of VR camping outdoors.
The starting price has been set at $16.50.
“I think the price is reasonable and parking is also free,” adds Jean-Marc Pageau. We also want to introduce young people to these beautiful passions that we all share. We have therefore decided that access to the event will be free for all young people under the age of 16.
“With all these win requirements, I truly believe our event is unique. Also, I want to clarify that this is not a test that I’m running. I work with a five year horizon.
“I am fortunate to have been in the business for many years and to feel the pulse of consumers. That helped me build this event, which will answer many of the questions I’ve been asked over the years. »
